Your Jordan adventure begins as you arrive at Queen Alia International Airport (APT) in Amman. Upon landing, you’ll be warmly greeted by our team from Sherazade Tours, who will assist you with a seamless arrival process. From there, you’ll be comfortably transferred to your hotel in Amman, the vibrant capital of Jordan.

After a smooth check-in, you’ll have the rest of the day to relax and unwind, preparing for the exciting journey ahead. Whether you’re here to explore Jordan’s rich history, immerse yourself in its cultural treasures, or embark on an unforgettable adventure, your stay in Amman promises to be the perfect start to your trip.

Overnight in Amman

On your third day in Jordan, immerse yourself in the cultural heart of the country with a tour of Amman, followed by visits to the sacred site of Bethany and the natural wonder of the Dead Sea.

We’ll begin the day with a city tour of Amman, the vibrant capital of Jordan. Explore the ancient Amman Citadel, home to Roman ruins, the Umayyad Palace, and the Archaeological Museum, which houses artifacts from Jordan’s rich history. Stroll through the Roman Theater, a 6,000-seat amphitheater that dates back to the 2nd century, and wander the bustling streets of the Old City, where you can experience the authentic charm of Amman.

Next, we’ll journey down through the Jordan Valley, following the path of the Jordan River, to reach Bethany Beyond the Jordan. This sacred site is believed to be the place where John the Baptist baptized Jesus Christ, as described in the New Testament. A visit to Bethany offers a profound spiritual experience and a connection to biblical history.

The highlight of the day is the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth at 400 meters below sea level. Known for its ultra-salty waters, which are eight times saltier than most oceans, the Dead Sea offers a unique opportunity to float effortlessly on its surface. Swimming (or floating) in the Dead Sea is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a must-do for every traveler to Jordan.

After a day filled with history, spirituality, and natural beauty, you’ll spend the night at the Dead Sea, where you can relax and enjoy the serene surroundings.

Overnight at the Dead Sea

On your fifth day in Jordan, prepare for an unforgettable experience as you explore the ancient city of Petra, followed by a journey to the mesmerizing desert landscape of Wadi Rum.

Begin your day with a visit to Petra, one of the most fascinating sights in Jordan and a New Seven Wonder of the World. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, carved into rose-red sandstone cliffs by the Nabateans over 2,000 years ago, is a masterpiece of ancient architecture and engineering. Walk through the narrow Siq, a dramatic canyon pathway, and be awestruck by the iconic Treasury (Al-Khazneh), Petra’s most famous monument. Continue exploring to discover the Royal Tombs, the Roman Theater, and the Monastery (Ad-Deir), each showcasing the ingenuity and artistry of the Nabatean civilization.

After immersing yourself in Petra’s wonders, we’ll drive to Wadi Rum, a breathtaking desert valley known as the “Valley of the Moon.” This otherworldly landscape, with its towering red and brown jagged mountains and vast sand dunes, has been home to Bedouin tribes for centuries. Wadi Rum’s dramatic scenery has also served as the backdrop for numerous films, including Lawrence of Arabia and The Martian.

As you explore Wadi Rum, you’ll feel a deep connection to nature and history, with traces of human presence dating back to ancient times. Whether you’re marveling at the desert’s natural beauty or learning about the Bedouin way of life, Wadi Rum promises to be a highlight of your Jordan adventure.

Overnight in Wadi Rum

Begin your day with an early departure from Amman to the Allenby Border, where our representative will assist you. Early arrival to the Holy Land via Allenby, meet with your driver for a tour of the city. We go to the Mount of Olives and visit Pater Noster Church. Continue to see the panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem. Proceed to Dominus Flevit then walk the Palm Sunday Route and descend to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus spent the last night before he was arrested. Visit the famous Church of All Nations. Go to Saint Ann’s Church through the Lions Gate and visit the Pools of Bethesda. Start walking the Via Dolorosa and end at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. If we have time, we might be able to visit the Wailing Wall or Dome of the Rock (if time and security permit).
